At a gala on Saturday, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation launched a new Hatfield-McCoy Elk Country Chapter in the heart of a proposed 7-county elk restoration zone: "With the coal economy languishing, the potential elk viewing tourism and hunting recreation can provide critically needed economic diversification for the area," writes Bob Fala in this article for the Logan Banner.
